Service

Become a Tree Parent

Join us in reforesting the valley with native plants. Ten dollars pays a villager to plant trees.

Lama Chodpa is a non-profit humanitarian project of The Eden's Rose Foundation. Beyond the incense, we employ local villagers from the Gaddi tribe to fight invasive species and restore the natural Himalayan habitat — planting endemic trees of cultural significance for Tibetan refugees and Gaddi nomadic communities.

Why the valley

Tashi Jong was planted into Gaddi land. The work now is to return endemic species to the slopes around the monastery — trees that belong to this altitude, this culture, and this climate — while providing wages in the village.

You can sponsor a worker for a day or a week, or adopt a tree. Either way, the incense and the forest are the same project.
